2nd Critique

{I have asked one of the other students on the course to take a look at my blog and to write up a critique for me so I can work on my not so strong elements}

Nice experimentation with exposure, showing your choices in exposure and motion.
Shoot 3:
* Good experimentation with proximity to model, however needs a lot of refinement for it to become a possible final proposal idea.
* Closer proximity is the best option for this shoot, as the white floor attracts the attention more than the model.
* Looking promising, but needs the refinement to be stronger in impact.
Good way of researching by including not only photographers but music videos involving powder dance, including Pink!
Nice way of teaching yourself in the ways of photographers’ work… tutorials on YouTube
Further research also looking promising, as I feel that the methods of Ludovic Floret are the best option, as it feels much stronger in appearance.
Shoot 5:
* Looking promising/very strong, however need refinements, as throughout the photo shoot, parts of backdrop, side and light source are visible, distracting me from the model. However, you can show the journey of you reducing proximity concentrating more on the model, with less distraction from the equipment.
* I like this shoot, as this shows a very strong change in direction towards the work of Ludovic Floret, which I initially thought was stronger in appearance, which you have grasped.
* As a further improvement, you could add colour, or possibly get into a closer proximity to exploit detail.
Glad to see that you plan your equipment positions to show your ongoing planning and implementation.
Document pages on the web to PDFs to ensure that they are part of your visual evidence, in the case of website maintenance.
